Steps of Sustainability
On Saturday, September 25, 2021, The Raymond Rountree Jr. Foundation hosted another Steps of Sobriety event to summit a 14er at Mt. Bierstadt near Georgetown, CO. Our small, but mighty group, enjoyed a beautifully challenging hike where we ultimately reached the top at 14,060 ft! Our foundation is committed to helping those struggling with addiction, and we plan these types of events to instill unity and encouragement to living a healthy lifestyle.
We certainly appreciate those that joined us on our 14er adventure, and those that weren't able to attend but contributed to our cause through their donations. Enjoy the video and please continue to follow us to learn more about how you can join us to make a difference for those on the path to recovery!

SPIN FOR OPIOD SENSIBILITY
We had another great show of support at our Spin for Opioid Sensibility event on Saturday, June 26, 2021, for a 30-mile bike ride along the Cherry Creek Trail. 20 cyclists joined us for a no-drop ride that started at REI Denver downtown and looped back once we reached Hudson Gardens in Littleton. An impressive group of different ages and riding experience enjoyed a moderate ride that was both refreshing and challenging. The weather was perfectly mild along the trail, and it was truly inspiring seeing the entire group encourage and support each other.
That same unity showed up in the generous donations we received, which added another $6,600 to help fund future scholars on their path to recovery. Many thanks to our donors, everyone that helped coordinate the event, and the actual riders that came out for a fantastic day of exercise, education, and empowerment. Enjoy the video below as proof of our amazing time together, and keep an eye out for another event in the next few months. See you there!

STEPS OF SUSTAINABILITY
On Saturday, April 3, 2021, we had over 40 people join us at Rueter-Hess Incline in Castle Rock for our Steps of Sustainability Hike for Health fundraiser. It was a beautiful day soaking in the front range views with a great group of people coming together in support of our cause. We're continually amazed by the generosity of so many people over the years, and we're thankful to report we've raised $5,600 year to date to help fund those on the path to recovery!
We're very appreciative of this event's incredible turnout, which also represented the celebration of the foundation's 4th year anniversary. We set a goal of 4 loops around the incline in honor of our anniversary year, so check out the video below to see how we did! Thanks again to everyone involved and stay tuned for future events to join us in making a difference in the fight to overcome addiction.
